In 1915 Edward Stegman founded Stegman & Company. He served for more than 30 years as chairman of the Maryland State Board of Accountancy. His two sons succeeded him and following in their father’s footsteps, established a foundation of high standards, which we continue to follow to this day.

Our membership with AGN International provides us with a national and international network of firms who share similar disciplines and commitment to quality of service. This affiliation allows us to effectively expand our reach globally as the need arises. We are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Center for Audit Quality (CAQ) and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Our firm is registered with the Public Company Accountant Oversight Board (PCAOB) and we are subject to the rules and standards of the PCAOB, including its regular inspection of our firm.
