William R. Ross, CPA – President

William R. Ross is in charge of the tax & financial services division. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, such as the Baltimore Estate Planning Counsel and the Personal Financial Planning Division of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He has been involved in tax and financial planning since 1973. Mr. Ross is frequently requested to speak on tax, retirement and estate planning issues. He contributes regularly to the firm’s bimonthly newsletter.

Gina Anderson, CPA, MSF

Mrs. Anderson specializes in providing audit and accounting services to financial institutions and publicly traded companies. This involves reviewing filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. She is a member of the firm’s Financial Institution and Public Companies Specialized Industry Group and leads the firm’s Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 practice. Mrs. Anderson is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public accountants.

Theresa Bandell

Theresa Bandell, CPA, CVA

Ms. Bandell specializes in tax, business consulting, litigation support, and business valuation services. Ms. Bandell also provides business valuation services to closely-held businesses for estate planning, buy/sell transactions and litigation support. Ms. Bandell has been listed as expert witness in several cases and has been hired as a Kovel accountant to assist with litigation cases. James J. Dougherty, CPA

Mr. Dougherty specializes in providing audit, accounting, tax and advisory services to a variety of closely held businesses.  Jim’s areas of expertise include construction, manufacturing, professional service companies, the audits of employee benefit plans, and audits of not-for-profit entities.  He is also a qualified team captain for peer reviews of other accounting firms.  Mr. Dougherty has more than 30 years experience assisting businesses in meeting their financial goals.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).  He currently serves on the MACPA Peer Review Committee and is past chair of the organization’s Professional Ethics Committee. He has served as a volunteer and board member of various charitable organizations. Mr. Dougherty is currently a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and a board member of Chesapeake Habitat for Humanity.

Liz Gantnier

Elizabeth S. Gantnier, CPA – Quality Control

Ms. Gantnier specializes in providing accounting and auditing services to both privately held and publicly traded companies. This involves reviewing filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and advising clients on issues regarding accounting and auditing. Ms. Gantnier is a member of the firm’s Public Companies Specialized Industry Group. As Quality Control Director, Ms. Gantnier is primarily involved in ensuring that engagements meet the quality control standards of the firm and the various regulatory bodies. She is a statistical audit specialist and is a National AICPA instructor on technical accounting and auditing topics, winning the AICPA Outstanding Discussion Leader Award for many years.

Ms. Gantnier has served as an appointee to the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and currently serves as a member of the Center for Audit Quality’s Professional Practice Executive Committee.  In 2010 Ms. Gantnier was appointed and serves on the Maryland State Board of Public Accountancy.

Joseph Hahn

Joseph E. Hahn, CPA

Bill’s clients benefit from his extensive SEC and private company expertise. He specializes in evaluating significant transactions for compliance with financial reporting requirements as well as due diligence efforts and other transactional support services. Mr. Williams is as member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Center for Audit Quality and, as a Certified Valuation Analyst, a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
